When: Sundays, 10:30am – 11:30am, All ages
Where: Main church building
We warmly invite you to join us for our Sunday Morning Service. It starts at 10:30 am, lasts about an hour and is followed by refreshments.
During the service we sing hymns new and old, hear a reading from the Bible, and a message that explains the relevance of the passage for life today. Our focus is explaining the Bible’s good news, the gospel. This service would be the most helpful to attend if you are new to the Christian faith, or are searching for answers to life’s biggest questions.
Children are welcome too, and you should feel free to keep them with you for the whole service. If you wish, we offer Crèche for any pre-school children, and Young Church for children from Reception to Year 6. Children are collected for Crèche and Young Church during the third hymn. Both Crèche and Young Church are staffed by members of the church who have been DBS checked.
On the first Sunday in the month, the Morning Service will typically include the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. All are welcome to observe, but participation at the Lord’s Table is a privilege for believers who have been baptised and are in fellowship with the Lord’s people. If you visit us from another church you will be welcome to share Communion with us. Visitors who are not yet in fellowship with any church are asked to allow the bread and wine to pass by without any embarrassment.
What is the Gospel?
The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is able to forgive our sins, make us acceptable to God, provide us with power to live a life that pleases God, and guarantee an eternal future of bliss with God in the age to come. All this He accomplished through His life, death and resurrection 2,000 years ago. God now invites everyone without exception to receive these benefits by confessing their sins, turning away from them, and coming personally to Jesus Christ for grace to live in obedience to God.
